Sesalos & Speak to Mike Partner on Cambridge Food TV Ad Campaign
A mutually beneficial partnership between Speak to Mike Radio and TV
Advertising and Sesalos Media Production has resulted in the launching
of a memorable TV advertising campaign for fast growing KZN based
supermarket chain, Cambridge Food.
With the launch of regional
ad splits for SABC 1 & 2, it was the ideal time for Cambridge Food,
which has 7 stores all based in KZN, to move beyond radio and print and
tackle television advertising to grow their brand and market-share even
further. Speak to Mike presented a highly effective Television
flighting campaign that would give Cambrigde Food the targeted coverage
they required at a very reasonable rate while Sesalos presented a cost
effective production package that would ensure the correct image was
portrayed and the promotions offered would call consumers to action.
As
part of the package, in house Sesalos music composers, Martin Engel and
Earle Large, created a unique, catchy jingle that would further
entrench the Cambridge Food name and their trademarked “Woza Nawe”
phrase in the minds and hearts of their customers and potential new
customers. The lead vocal was sung by the incredibly talented Nompilo
Nsele, also an employee of Sesalos. The short form jingle was then
expanded into a full length song remix that featured expanded verses
and a rap section and now forms part of a special Cambridge Food
in-store music compilation that plays over the sound system in all the Cambridge stores.
